About this role The primary purpose of the Advisor Tauira Communications is to be the point of origin for all tauira communication.
The role will plan and write internal and external communications for all tauira on their journey to ensure effective and consistent communications that raise a strong public profile and effective engagement for current tauira, ensuring success in the courses.
This role will work closely with the Communications, Marketing and Engagement team.
The role will engage with and support National Tauira Services and associated teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop communications and engagement plans for tauira-focused support initiatives.
Create content for a range of channels and audiences to support tauira.
Work with the Advisor Social Media to develop social media content, including images, videos, articles, and competitions, ensuring high levels of engagement among key audiences.
Liaise with appropriate kaimahi and stakeholders about relevant communications to tauira about achieving success.
Create Journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud CRM.
Produce and/or edit written material for relevant publications.
Produce written and visual content on the tauira experience for a range of channels, including web and social media.
Provide communications support to Manager Tauira Lifecycle.
Maintain a close working relationship and support National Tauira Services and associated teams.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with all kaimahi, external customers, and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant field.
Full NZ Drivers License.
Experience: Proven experience in communications, public relations or journalism.
Experience in tauira/customer support communication.
Proven experience in writing for a range of channels, including the web and social media channels.
Demonstrated record of published work including press releases, photo essays, and media stories.
Experience in face-to-face communications, including public speaking and media interviews.
Experience self-managing workload and deadlines.
Experience working in a Bi-lingual environment would be of advantage.
Ahuatanga Maori: Engages in cultural activities and has a sound understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture, and tikanga).
Te Reo Maori: Able to understand and converse in Te Reo Maori (TARM level 4 or equivalent qualification).
Nga Uara: Understands and is an advocate for using Te Wananga o Aotearoa values in the workplace.
