He Korero mo te turanga - About the Role
We are currently seeking a Patient Information Centre Administration Support based at either Whakatane or Tauranga Hospital. This is a permanent part-time position working 24 hours per week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The purpose of this position is to ensure the Patient Information Centre provides excellent customer services for all patients, their families, primary care health professions and all other consumers of Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty by promoting a 'one stop shop' for patients requiring information across all services.
This includes continual developing and improvement of processes to ensure that timely resolutions or escalation of patient queries; appointment coordination and rescheduling of appointments where appropriate are completed in a timely patient-centered manner.

To be successful in this position it is essential for you to have a high level of customer service and interpersonal skills. You will have strong administrative and organizational capabilities and the ability to use discretion, judgement, and initiative to find solutions to problems.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys building strong relationships with stakeholders. You will have proven time management skills, high attention to detail and good knowledge of patient information systems and medical terminology.
