Are you a great communicator with superb administrative skills and health sector experience? We have an opportunity for a customer-focused administrator to join our friendly, hard-working teams at our community birthing units. This is a permanent part-time role working a minimum of 32 hours per fortnight (4 x 8 hour shifts) daytime shifts only, Monday to Sunday. You will have your own reliable transport to travel between different locations, sometimes at short notice, as you will be providing cover to all our birthing units, with the majority of shifts at Botany and Papakura. Occasionally, you may be required to cover shifts at Pukekohe or Middlemore Hospital. In this role, you will support and manage the administration of inpatient and outpatient services and referrals in accordance with the Counties Manukau Women's Health guidelines. You will be managing the following tasks: Admit, transfer and discharge women in the care of our service, and schedule and book appointments for them. Welcome visitors to our wards and outpatient clinics. Answer phone calls and carry out general administrative duties. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on iPM and Maternity Care Information System (MCIS). Manage multiple electronic inboxes that include requests from clinical and clerical staff and patient inquiries. Follow the Women's Health approved scheduling process and specialty protocols. Ensure waiting lists are reviewed daily, maintain good communication regarding waiting times, identify possible booking problems, and deal with these appropriately. You will need to have 3 years' work history in administration in health or a related service. Ideally, you will already have a good working knowledge of iPM and MCIS. The essential attributes are a high level of customer focus, a "can-do" attitude, good organizational skills, and attention to detail. You will possess an excellent command of the English language and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
