Seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage accounting and office administration tasks.
15th November, 2024 About the Role:
We are looking for an Accounts & Office Assistant to manage bookkeeping for accounts receivable and payable, including daily invoice entry and monthly tasks. Key responsibilities include:
Performing daily bank reconciliations
Handling office purchases and general administration
Processing monthly payables, including statement matching and payments
Preparing and sending accounts receivable invoices and statements, with customer communication
Managing PAYE, paying wages weekly, and maintaining staff records
Process accounts payable and receivable invoices
Assist with payroll and staff scheduling
Address questions from staff and customers on accounts and payroll
Support project managers and the operations manager with various tasks
Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and taking meeting notes as required
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum of 3 years New Zealand Experience (non negotiable)
Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles, with prior experience
Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
A self-motivated, organized, and committed work ethic
Innovative thinking to improve business systems
A positive, team-oriented attitude with a readiness for challenges and change
Experience leading a team is a plus
