About the role:
This is a newly created position, where you will work closely with the NZ based Financial Controller, reporting into the Finance Manager who is part of the wider Global Finance team based in the Netherlands. You will support our growth by ensuring financial accuracy and contributing to meaningful projects in an exciting hands-on work environment.
You are responsible for the NZ operations in both the North and South Island and our exports to the Asia Pacific. Your key responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable: processing supplier invoices, recording expenses from supplier invoices into our ERP system, and ensuring timely payment of supplier invoices.
Accounts Receivable: sending invoices based on customer agreements, recording sales transactions into our ERP system, and monitoring the Accounts Receivable balances.
Liaising with internal staff members, suppliers, and other payees related to account and payment issues; providing information to internal stakeholders regarding supplier invoices and payments.
Timely and accurate creation of customer invoices.
Proactively following up on outstanding balances and actively communicating with customers on specific cases.
Ensuring adherence to all documented internal controls, approvals, and procedures.
Ensuring adherence to all documented external controls and procedures - IRD tax compliance and revenue recognition principles.
Adherence to deadlines around month-end, cut-off issues, reporting, and reconciliations.

Proficient in ERP systems (Microsoft D365) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Adheres to deadlines with accuracy and minimal need for corrections.
Flexible during month-end processes; adaptable to changing working environments.
Livestock finance experience advantageous but not essential.
