This role is crucial in facilitating academic operations, ensuring efficient administrative processes, and supporting the strategic goals of the Faculty.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-level administrative support to the Associate Dean (Academic), assisting in reviews, managing schedules, correspondence, and academic documentation.Provide advice and assistance to the Associate Dean (Academic) to ensure best practice is followed.Assist in the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.Organise and manage academic functions and events, ensuring successful execution and adherence to protocols.Support the development and maintenance of faculty-related materials, including research and website content.Foster effective communication within the Faculty and with external stakeholders.Mou |Who You AreTo perform successfully in this role you will have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience as an administrator in similar research academic or professional role, and have:excellent diary and email management skillsexperience organising functions and events, demonstrating strong planning and execution skillscompetence in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with website software (e.g., Dreamweaver) and online researchexcellent written and oral communication skills, with a professional presentationexperience with meeting and minute-taking protocolsstrong eye for detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in all worka high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently while supporting team objectivesactive commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols), and kawa (rules) of cultural practices as guided by mana whenua, Ngai Tuahuriri, and valuing te reo Maori.You will also be a highly competent coordinator, with good initiative to work without supervision and maintain confidentiality.Nga Painga o UC | Why UCNga Uara | Our Values of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and tiakitanga guide our decisions and behaviour and provide a roadmap for how we do things at UC, affirming our commitment to pastoral care and support for our akonga and staff.
