About the Role
The Artificial Breeding (AB) Base Supervisor/Delivery Driver role is part of the Operations & Service Group who are responsible for delivering on the promise we make to our customers on farm.
This role is a seasonal role covering the upcoming spring mating season which runs from September through until December 2024.
This is a 7 day a week operation with rostered days and variable hours and is based out of Dunedin or Mosgiel.
The role will be responsible for:
Supporting Regional AB Operations Managers to ensure the efficient running of the AB region.
Inventory management and planning
Employee management, wellbeing, training and quality control to ensure that all AB Technicians are thriving on farm.
Personal responsibility to uphold a strong focus on Health and Safety.
Organising and delivering time critical AB products and services in full, on time, every time.
About You
We are seeking people with:
exceptional time management and communication skills
people management experience
strong problem-solving skills
knowledge of dairy farming and artificial breeding would be preferred
a good level of physical fitness (able to lift 20kgs)
a full, clean NZ drivers licence
an excellent driving record with experience in night driving.
Previous experience in logistics, liquid nitrogen and transferring of frozen straws would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
