Where you'll be working: Hamilton City, New Zealand The details: Fixed Term - 1 Year Position An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Interventional Cardiologist to join an established and progressive team based in Hamilton, New Zealand for a fixed term.
The Hospital is a tertiary referral and teaching cardiac centre providing a wide range of adult cardiac services including cardiac surgery, structural heart disease and complex coronary intervention for the Midland Region (860,000 people).
The department supports 5 regional secondary care hospitals.
The successful applicant will join a well-established and dynamic team of 17 Cardiologists and 5 cardiac surgeons.
There are 4 cardiac catheterisation labs including a dedicated EP lab and another custom built hybrid lab with capability of fusion imaging.
We are looking to attract cardiologists with comprehensive training and experience in complex coronary intervention.
The candidate is expected to complement complex coronary intervention (CHIP programme).
Additional experience in CT coronary angiography and echocardiography is desirable.
Candidates should have completed advanced training in Cardiology (FRACP or equivalent) and be eligible for provisional vocational / vocational registration or Locum Tenens registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
